Engineering

Software is the backbone of what Guideline does. Our architecture is thoughtful and pragmatic. The Engineering org works cross-functionally and cross-product, giving every engineer a voice and an opportunity to leave their mark.

Product

The Product team is inspired to solve the most challenging customer pain points in order to build a better retirement platform and drive better business results. The team consists of Product-Management and Program-Management to serve both small business owners and individuals, and empower our internal teams.

Design

Design at Guideline is made up of Visual, Product and Content Designers, and UX Researchers, each focused on positive outcomes for people. Through testing, discovery and problem solving, they aim to create a great experience for everyone, across different knowledge levels and company sizes.

Customer operations

Driven to give our customers confidence at every step of their journey, our Customer Operations teams tap into technology and experience to provide customers with quick, accurate answers. The teams include Customer Success, On/off boarding, Government filings, Operations and Enablement.

Revenue

The Revenue org is made up of teams from Sales, Strategic Partnerships, Marketing and Revenue Ops. Together they work in concert to better understand the needs of prospects and partners and deliver a sign-up and lifecycle experience that is as easy, seamless, and transparent as the product we’re selling.

Data

The Data team works with every team at Guideline in order to transform data into value. The team is made up of four sub-teams—science, engineering, analytics and reconciliation—each with their own unique responsibilities and areas of ownership.

People operations

Our People Ops and Talent teams work hard to ensure every prospective employee, contractor and full-time employee has a positive experience with Guideline. They establish, maintain and project a culture of collaboration and transparency.

Business operations

These teams—including Finance, IT, Legal & Compliance and Retirement Consulting—help safeguard our company and our clients, while keeping our teams on track, in sync and ahead of industry trends and in-line with government regulations.

How does the typical hiring process work?

It varies by department and position, but we do everything we can to streamline the application and interview process. Our average company wide hiring speed is around 30 days.

How is Guideline addressing Diversity, Equity and Impact?

We have established a DEI committee that meets on a monthly basis with rotating members/participants. Past projects have included writing more inclusive job descriptions, DEI auditing, and DEI content engagement/distribution for raising awareness and generating discussion.

Does Guideline offer hybrid work schedules?

Yes, we offer hybrid work schedules for employees who work near our two California offices located in Burlingame and San Diego.

How does Guideline foster professional development and growth?
