Partnering with the Pension Research Council to make retirement more accessible
We are excited to share that Guideline is joining the Pension Research Council at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. We had the opportunity to meet Pension Research Council (PRC) Executive Director, Olivia S. Mitchell, last fall in Philadelphia and attend the annual PRC Symposium on Saving and Retirement in an Uncertain Financial Environment.
The PRC has made significant contributions to further understand how people across the world prepare for retirement, and we’re thrilled to now play a role as a council member. Through their research, the PRC have shined light upon the most important issues around pension funding, retirement plan access for small business workers and contract and gig workers, the potential role state and city governments can play in the retirement system, and the impact behavioral nudges like auto-enrollment can make in leading to better outcomes for future retirees.
We are delighted to support the PRC’s efforts as a partner. We look forward to the 2018 Symposium on The Disruptive Impact of FinTech on Retirement Systems and working with them to help advance research, explore policy issues, and develop innovative approaches to retirement in the United States and abroad.
